noise on my 2024 Tiguan

ok so here's what happened..

my car made a loud banging noise from the dashboard and it was just a short drive. it eventually stopped and im bringing it back to the dealer later today. Just checking w u all if this has happened to u? what could be the reason behind this

this is freaking me out so please help!

If the noise came from the dashboard, it could be related to the HVAC system. Another possibility is loose trim or something shifting behind the dash, but since it happened on a short drive and then stopped, it might be mechanical rather than just a loose panel.
Good idea to take it back to the dealer, maybe give us an update on what they find?

My car never did that. it might be something loose in the dashboard. take it to the dealer and let them check it and they should find the problem.

@architecturehelsinki my gawd that must be frustrating. honestly, it could have a variety reasons, like a loose part, or even a problem with the engine or suspension. but whatever it is, you're car needs a check up

That banging sound can be really unsettling! Did it start right when you turned on the A/C, or does it only pop up when you go over bumps in the road? Have you noticed any other signs, like warning lights flashing or any strange smells wafting in? It's always the little things that can drive you crazy
