our VW Tiguan got the mechanics confused. while driving it beeps loud shows a warning to pull over and shut off. then the dash goes black and no gauges, no speed, nothing! brake lights and headlights quit too.. took it to the Volkswagen dealership they say it's fine no computer issues but they can't make it happen again.. it's random we got this car less than two months ago and still under warranty but this isn't a mechanical problem and they are stumped.. anyone experienced this?

Hey there. I read somwhere online that a few was able to fix this by changing the ignition switch. has your mechanic tried to check this too?

Have you sorted this one out?
Since your car's still under warranty, I'd push the dealer to physically inspect the main wiring looms and ground points.
I'm guessing it could be a bad wiring harness or a loose ground connection.
The dash, headlights and brake lights all going out at once indicate a central failure, not just a problem with the gauges.

If it's a problem that the dealer can't fix, then I think there is a situation where the dealer can buy it back from you or give you a replacement. Not exactly sure how all of this works, but people online claim to have done it, so might want to consider this, especially with a car that's so new.
