honest opinion on the reverse lights

hi all i am looking to get this car however i read somewhere that the reverse lights are not hte best. its very dim especially in the rain
is this true? can i replace them?

@MonsoonMagic56 Tiguan's light opening can be a bit small so u dont get to see enough light when backing up. So yea it can be a bit dim.

I think it's normal. It's not there to light your way right, it's to inform others that you're in reverse

I've heard some mentions that they aren't super bright either, but yes, you can replace them, brighter LED reverse lights, should make a noticeable difference. They're energy efficient and should shine a lot better, even in the rain.

A while back, I picked up a used Tiguan and faced a similar problem, when I tried to back out at night while it was raining, those factory reverse lights were pretty much useless. One evening, I decided to upgrade to some LED bulbs I found on Amazon, and the difference was astonishing. Seriously, it was like a completely different experience. Now, I can confidently back into driveways, even during heavy storms, and those LEDs are still holding up great.
