Tiguan is making knocking noise

Every time I accelerate, I hear my Tiguan is making a knocking noise. But when I let go of the gas even a little slightly, the sound stops. I spent so much on repairs already... around $1200. The rear differential was replaced, it didn't do anything. Then, did an oil change, nada. Then, propshaft rubber flanges and intermediate bearing changed also, nada. In the beginning, just the 5th 6th gears affected but now even the 3rd gear already causes the sound to appear... What to do? All 3 places I visited never solved it so I'm pissed already.

I feel your pain, after all those repairs. I'm not super knowledgeable about this, but since the noise happens under acceleration and stops when you ease off, maybe it's something drivetrain-related? Could be something with the transmission or mounts, but that's just a guess. Have you had it checked by a VW specialist?

since it happens in some gears my main suspect would be the transmission. also, if you have awd model i'd check the transfer case

Thank you guys for the reply.

@kingnathan I have not had it checked yet. Was planning to but couldn't get the time. It's so expensive to get a proper diagnosis...

@CaptainObvious11 Have to check the transmission fluid also?

Ugh, this is frustrating! this could be engine related. Quite a few suggestions above already but for me, try finding a highly rated mechanic to take a look at this? it's possible that they have seen this issue before

That knocking sound you're hearing, especially when you're on the gas and it goes away when you let off, affecting multiple gears, really sounds like a CV joint issue, either an outer one on the axles or even an inner tripod joint.
It could also be a worn out transmission mount or engine mount, letting things move too much under power
